Rusty grew up in Mullins, SC, but it wasn’t until his mid-twenties that he surrendered his life to the Lord. After his conversion, Rusty and his wife, Beth, began attending Bakers Chapel Baptist Church in Aynor, SC. After a short time worshipping there, Rusty began to serve in youth ministry, eventually becoming the Youth Director at Bakers Chapel. In 2012, Rusty received the call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and began to fill the pulpit for area pastors. One of the pulpits that Rusty filled during that time was at Cherry Grove Baptist Church. In August of 2015, Rusty was called to be the Interim Pastor at Cherry Grove and after just a few short months, he was called to be Senior Pastor in December. In the years since, Rusty has enjoyed being the pastor of the faith family at “The Grove.” It is his great desire to help the lost be found and help the found to flourish in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Along the way, Rusty and Beth have been blessed with three beautiful children: Kylie, Carson, and Brooklyn.
